Our doctors appointment today lasted a whopping 10 minutes.
Short and sweet.
Dr. O wants me to have a hysteroscopy just to make sure everything looks alright in my uterus and then, as we expected, he suggested we move onto IVF.
And can I just say for the record that this stuff isn't cheap?!
Having said that, we're waiting on a phone call from the office to see about a payment plan of some kind before we continue.
Unless we win the lottery, coming up with $8,000 - $10,000 UP FRONT isn't an option for us.
So cross your fingers that the phone call comes with good news.

Now why can't our insurance pay for something like this? I would much better pay for this than some of the shit we have to pay for......like welfare dead beat parents....do I need to go on? I agree with Mimi, though... my insurance has no coverage for me because I am "not married to a man and can't prove I need the help of an RE", but any of my heterosexual coworkers would get 100,000 per yer of coverage--just another method of discrimination against lesbian families and single women, I believe... The out of pocket thing just stinks.

I did want to tell you that usually there are several type loan options to choose for IVF. I hope that you are able to find one that works for you. I am proof it is worth it :)
