I think I'm going to puke!

Oh how I wish it were morning sickness!

But NOOOOO!

You ready for this?

My pictures. All my precious pictures that were saved on my computer (and not backed up!!) are gone!!

My freakin' laptop crashed yesterday and once I finally got it to working again they were all gone!

I think I'm in the middle of a nervous breakdown right now as I type this! Lord help me!

I still have pics on flickr and a few that I've posted on here but that's just a drop in the bucket to the ones I HAD on my computer.

This is tragic people! TRAGIC!

I'm heading straight to Geek*Squad after work and praying they can work some magic. Some magic that wont cost me an arm and a leg!

So the lesson for today boys and girls is to BACK UP your work!!

***

I called our swimmers storage place today to renew for another year and we'll be forking over some cash next week for swimmers.

We're getting there.

Slowly.

oh no...

I hope the GeekSquad guys do more good than harm (I don't trust them).

If they can't recover anything, or try to charge you more than $100, I can send you the serial # for some recovery software I have that works really well. Let me know. I'll provide instructions.

You can work your own magic by using a free program called Photorec.

I believe it's available for Windows, but you can also use it off a Linux live CD (which is both free and legal) like Knoppix or Ubuntu.

If you go the live CD route, install the application called testdisk (sudo apt-get install testdisk) and run the command photorec.
