A flower for our flower

Since telling my mom about our TTC adventure, I've been looking forward to keeping her in the loop and having her support so I sent her some pics last night and explained what was in the good luck goody bag. Here's her reply:

"That good luck bag made me cry. Good luck. Love, Mom"

Then 10 minutes later I get this:

"I SHOWED DAD THE PICTURE OF THE GOOD LUCK GOODIE BAG AND READ HIM THE LETTER. I TOLD HIM I WAS GOING TO BE SUPPORTING YOU THE WHOLE WAY AND THAT YOU WILL MAKE A WONDERFUL MOMMY. HE'S BEHIND YOU TOO."

Of course I cried. M too but she'll never admit it.

Then about an hour later I got this:

"Dad picked this rose for Kook's little Kook." (Kook is a nickname from my dad) "He couldn't find a blue one. Isn't that sweet of him? Now you'll remember the day the baby was conceived!"

More tears.

****

I did end up sending mom an email reminding her that this would be M's lil Kook too. Her reply was:

"Sorry. OK that rose was for Kim's and M's little Kook. Love, Mom"

More tears.

Seriously, that is so incredibly sweet. And knowing where they began - it makes it much more special.

Here's to Kook's little Kook & M'!

That is precious. A cherished picture. Your dad has such a sweet face. You'll have to tell us how the "kook" nickname came to be.

I have got to learn to copy my long comments....blogger ALWAYS chooses to eat them. Why not the short ones !! DAMN !
Any ways. You need to FOR sure frame that picture...your little flower needs to take that picture from her room, to college, to her first house. What a sweet gift from her grandpa.

May all good things come your way from this point on. I think the 2 of u are going to be the most loving parents around. Remember that through love all things are possible. So happy for you both!!!
