IUI #4

We did it. IUI #4 is complete.

We called the clinic this morning at 845 and was told a nurse would call back shortly with an appointment time. 45 minutes later and still no phone call, we decided to load in the truck and start heading their way. The clinic is a good 45 or so minutes away and we figured it wouldn't hurt to get a head start down there. We were about halfway there and still hadn't got a return phone call so I called them again to make sure they hadn't forgotten about us. The nurse explained to me that they were busy and the message had been passed on to call us. I told her we were already on the way. We were about 1 block away from the clinic and my phone finally rang. The nurse said she would have to page the Cryo dude and that she would call me back. I told her we'd be in the lobby in less than five. My phone rang again as we were walking down the side walk. The nurse she had reached the Cryo dude and we could be seen in 30 minutes. YAY! The nurse came out around 11 and about 20 minutes later the deed was done. There's nothing like making a baby with a room full of people. There was me, M, a nurse, an intern I think and the nurse practitioner. A room full of women with a syringe of swimmers. WOW! I assumed the position and we got started. Things went pretty smooth. She had to switch out catheters and said my uterus was tilted. She also said it looked like we had more swimmers in the vial than they normally see. I say, the more the merrier! They set the timer for 20 minutes and left us alone. I crossed my legs for luck and to hold the little guys in. M and I sweet talked them into doing a good job and that was that.

I'm not sure what the lucky number will be this time but I did count 33 chairs in the waiting room and you all know I'll be 33 tomorrow. LOL We'll see.

And of course.....here's a few pics. (I forgot to set the date on the camera...opps)

Bio Hazards and stirrups. Could it get anymore romantic? ;o)

3 is my fav number so 33 should be doubly lucky. Our vial had more than the usual amount of swimmers as well. That's got to be a good sign. :)
