CD2!

AF arrived yesterday evening!

Insulin and glucose tests are done!

Now we wait. Some more.

We've got swimmers!

And it only took $480. A tank and half of gas. An 8 hour road trip. 385 miles. 2 potty breaks. 1 lunch stop. 5 interstates. 1 gas stop. Numerous bouts of road rage. And being flipped the bird 1 time.

After all that....this better work!

My karyotype results showed NORMAL. :o)

I go tomorrow morning at 7 am for a fasting insulin and glucose test. No food or water after midnight.

Or what? I turn into a gremlin?
***

Still no AF. What's up with that? And honestly there's been no sign of her since Wednesday. Strange.
***

We re-stocked our supply of prenates and OPKs last night. Only 5 vitamins left of the 300 we purchased in March.
***

Hello!? AF? Where are you!?!?

Did I speak too soon?

The doctors office just called me. Again. They now want me to have a fasting insulin and glucose test. They are putting those orders in the mail to me tomorrow. So I guess I'll be doing that sometime next week.

While I had the nurse on the phone I asked her to confirm again that my last set of tests were fine. She said yes BUT they didn't have the karyotype results yet. Isn't that just great!? That means that something COULD be wrong. I could NOT be normal. The nurse was going to call the lab and have them fax the results today. She promised to call and let me know.

Please let me be normal. Please let me be normal. And please let these results come back quickly.

I really wanna try this cycle. Because IF AF arrives tomorrow and IF we get pregnant this time and IF I'm finally able to carry to full term our due date would be Halloween! :o) I know you hardly ever deliver on your due date BUT it's possible and that would be fun.

I told myself I wasn't going to get all wigged out about this try but I can't help it. We want a child. And I want it NOW!

I'm normal

At least that's what the nurse just told me about my latest tests. No thyroid or chromosomal problems with me. YAY! So now we prepare to try AGAIN.

We purchased our 3rd round of swimmers this morning. I'll be traveling all over creation Friday to pick them up and drop them off at the RE's office. We're hoping to meet them up close and personal in about 2 weeks. AF should be arriving Friday.

Will I do anything different this time? I don't know what else TO do. Maybe cut out caffeine?

MEME

We were tagged by J for this lovely meme that has been circulating for a while now. I'll try to get M to come up with some this evening.

The Rules:

1. I'm addicted to Flickr!

2. I sleep with the same pillow I've had since I was about 10 years old. I know. It's gross. But it's so comfy.

3. I still have my Cabbage Patch kids and remember their names. Elvyra RaeLynn and Jeffery Norman.

4. I don't eat green foods. Well, pickles but that's it.

5. I can't swim but I can float and doggy paddle with the best of them!

6. I drive too fast.

Tag! You're it!

Blogiversary

Is that even a word? Well, it is now and I'm gonna use it.

Happy 1 year Blogiversary to M and I! :o)

One year ago today we took the plunge into the blog pool. Alot has happened. Some good. Some not so good and some just down right cruel. Of course there are a few things I would love to go back and change but one that I'm happy to stick with is....Yall. I feel so blessed to have had the chance to "meet" each of you. I thank you for your advice and kind words when they were needed.

Here's hoping that when I write our Blogiversary post #2 that we have a little flower somewhere in the house with us. :o)

****

We still haven't heard from the doc about our test results but I'm sure we will sometime this week. You'll know shortly after we do.

****

Like I said in a previous post, we have decided to switch donors. I called today to place my order only to be reminded that I have to have a form signed and notarized before the purchase can be made. So needless to say, I hit the road to find a notary and now that all important form is waiting in the mailbox to be picked up. So hopefully I'll be taking a road trip sometime next week to pick up the swimmers.

Our 2nd choice donor is sold out and has a waiting list. We can't wait for that so we've gone with our 3rd choice. Maybe 3 will be our lucky number this go round? Donor #3. Try #3.

Who knows.

Write it Down

M and I are in this video....we made it to Rosie.com!

**M's word was THOUGHT PROVOKING. Mine was FAMILY. Mundy Dog was Squirrel Whisperer. And we also did A GIFT

Post D&C, Consult #1

M & I just got back from our doctors appt with the RE.

Dr. O said he was disappointed to have to see us again. Not as disappointed as us but anyhow. The visit went well. He went back over our records and was impressed that we were able to get pregnant both times with no drugs. Said that was a plus. (Duh...we know that much) His plan is to run some tests on me. Chromosomal and thyroid type tests. They took 5 vials of blood and we should know those results in about 10 days or so. He is also going to check the donors info...chromosomal records and such. We're still going to switch donors but it will be nice to know if this problem was possibly caused by the donors genes or mine. Dr. O also did a scan to make sure my uterus looked ok after the d&c. Thankfully all is well in that department.

So, unless something major shows up from these blood tests we'll being making a road trip soon for some swimmers and trying for lucky #3 this time next month.

Here we go again.

A brand new year!

Hip! Hip! Hooray! It's 2008! Bring on the goodness!

We've still got a little bit of 2007 baggage around but it's slowly making its way outta sight.

We got THE bill the other day. The hospital bill from the trip in November. I wanted to throw up when I saw it. Pathology this and disposal that. Ugg. How cruel. But it's done. I can't change it. I guess the only thing we can be thankful for out of all this is insurance. Insurance covered all but about $350 of the $5000. Time to file that away and move on.

And moving on we will do. Our consult with the RE is next Wednesday. We're just waiting to hear what he says and if all is well, we'll hopefully be trying again in mid February. We could have technically tried this cycle....like next week...but we wanted to give myself a bit more time to physically heal and see what the doc had to say. So if we get the green light on Wednesday, we'll be purchasing some swimmers and stocking up on OPKs and HPTs.
***

I went to a new doc yesterday about my snots. I still don't know exactly what's causing it but was given some steroid type nose spray to use for 2 weeks. It's working already! Thank GOD! Hopefully that'll be the end of that. This has been going on since May....it's way past time to stop.
***

And if you haven't done so already, stop by and pass on your congrats to K & J. They're expecting twins!
